Chhrristmas

Walking round Knightsbridge the other day I noticed some of the great window displays in some of the department stores, so this post is going to be dedicated to the hard working visual merchandisers who make them possible!

Browns by far had the best on Sloane Street...

Harrods...

And last but by no means least Harvey Nichols which were great but those heads are just downright creepy!

Kinky Boots

There's a new brand I have only just found out about, and they have some gorgeous shoes - these Gianvito Rossi thigh-high black leather boots are just ridiculous and so sexy at the same time! Rossi is Italian, he's the son of Sergio Rossi and worked with his father for  much of his life before starting his own brand, and everything he makes is of such high quality materials and the designs are truly feminine. These are definitely going on my fantasy shoes wish list.

Pre-Season Alexander Wang

Just a quick post to show you some of the new Alexander Wang, this black pleated dress is really cool, really simple but sexy for the new season with its sheer panels and cut outs, and then a white shirt dress which I first thought was rather strange but now I'm beginning to think it's really cute! It'd have to be exceptionally accessorised up but I definitely think they both are winners.

Alexander McQueen clutch bag

Is it possible to fall in love with a bag? Check out the new McQueen clutch if you doubt it's possible! Its beautiful to look at however impractical and flamboyant it is, if you got this then you'd be wise to keep the outfit simple. I really love this Opening Ceremony navy dress which can be easily dress up or down, and these Miu Miu platform nude shoes to keep it girly and simple. Top with some gold jewellery and job done, love it!

Alaia Sheepskin Jacket

With the weather turning ugly, this Azzedine Alaia jacket would be perfect! I know I've raved about him before, but this for sure won't stay in the store for long, the quality of it is on a whole new level of luxury fashion, and it would look great with jeans and boots on casual days.

Corlette London Blog

I was walking down the street the other day and some girls asked to take my photo for a look book they were creating for Corlette London. They design luxury corseted belts and gloves and some of them are pretty cool, take a look for yourself on their blog!

Louboutin Love

There are so many great Louboutins around at the moment! I walked back the Christian Louboutin shop the other day in Knightsbridge and the shoes in there are out of this world. Here are some of my favourites...

Leopard pony skin..

Black suede with zip detail on heel..

Brown suede courts..

Patent nude mary jane shape with platform..

And last but by no means least these spiky flat pumps, so cute!

Blake Lively in Gossip Girl

Just watched the new episode of Gossip Girl and have to say loving what Blake Lively is wearing this season, so I thought I'd post some pictures from GG to admire!

Lanvin at H&M

Is anyone else ridiculously excited about the range Lanvin is designing for H&M or is it just me? Vogue.com just released these photos as a preview of what to expect and it looks epic! Affordable Lanvin - what's not to like? If Jimmy Choo for H&M is anything to go by then this will sell out within hours, and the shop will be full of furious shoppers when the collection is released on 23rd November. So the big issue is, do you risk your life and try to get your hands on something, or miss out but manage to not be bruised and bitten by fashion-hungry girls? Jury's out on that for now...

McQueen Dream

I thought this dress was so beautiful I had to post the photos! Alexander McQueen silk evening gown with embroidered and beaded details on the body. I love the vintage vibe oozing off this, and not to mention it's a snip at 9 grand (I joke), good stuff.

And a close up on the details for you...

3.1 Phillip Lim

I thought I'd just quickly post this picture of a mannequin we put together! The coat and black dress underneath are Phillip Lim, and the snood is Missoni, perfect now it seems to be getting freezing cold in London. Teamed with this Celine bag and I'm in heaven.

Cheryl Cole in Azzaro

Just watched the X Factor last night (yes I know, how sad but I love it so let it go) and loved the Azzaro  jumpsuit Cheryl Cole was wearing, but she should have played up the cuteness factor of it! It's such a fun piece with the big bow but being all black it could have done with using something else just to punch it up.

So my recipe for this outfit is take one Azzaro Jumpsuit...

Add some statement shoes like these from Dune...

Plus this Lulu Guinness clutch bag that's good enough to eat...

And finish with this bracelet from Reiss and voila you are good to go.

I Love Alaia!

Azzedine Alaia - you are a modern day genius! This dress is possibly the most beautiful piece of clothing I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. The quality/shape/material/manufacture is unbelievable, no seams are visible at the sides and it appears to have been made in one go. Everyone I've seen wearing Alaia looks increadible however word of advice - when investing in such a dress, best to invest in some spanx as well, trust me on this. Probably best to keep the rest of the outfit simple and one block colour as the pattern could be overwhelming, such as black tights and pumps, perhaps a thin waist belt as well would work wonders. Beautiful.

Wool Week

The Prince of Wales has been trying to raise awareness about wool this week, and trying to bring it back into fashion to help support a declining British farming economy. Rather than using synthetic and cheaper alternatives, Prince Charles wants the fashion world to go back to our roots and use wool as it is far more durable and eco-friendly. And its good to see people responding to this campaign, with Selfridges and Saville Row turning themselves into sheep farms for the night, so perhaps it is only fitting that we take a look at what is out there at the moment that even the Prince himself could not disapprove of.

Balenciaga woolen skirt

Alexander McQueen Cable-knit biker jacket

Not quite wool but this Wool Rich Sheepskin coat is too good not to mention, and just incase you need some more inspiration, here's a cute picture of some sheep to keep you going!

Label longing

I tried this Acne one shoulder blue dress on today in store and instantly fell in love, the silk fabric sits so perfectly to create curves where you never thought you had them, and its such an easy piece to take from day through to night.

I have it on hold at the moment but just need to think of what to put with it! In an ideal world it would probably go a little something like this....

Burberry Prorsum shearling aviator boots... yum..

3.1 Phillip Lim white tuxedo jacket just to give it a bit of a tailored edge..

Burberry Prorsum Callaway large leather bag, delicious. Perhaps if I wish very hard they will all miraculously find their way to me...

Inspiration

I just wanted to post some magazine pictures of outfits I've seen and admired in the past few months, hopefully it gives a little preview into what my kind of style is!

Woollen jumper and frilly tutu just shouldn't go but somehow it works, this outfit is so feminine with a hard edge. Looks awesome in black and white too.

I really loved the military look last year and, much to my delight, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere too soon! This necklace is such a versatile piece, you could add to anything to bring it up to date with this trend. Also Scarlett looks so amazing here in this dress so had to add her.

Possibly my favourite outfit I've seen in a long time! This has been brought together so well, the red lace D&G works well with the coat, the Louboutins are to die for and to top it off the Rayban Wayfarers make what could otherwise be quite a formal outfit it so effortlessly cool and laid back. I bought a pair myself a few months back and they are such a good investment, recommend to everyone.
